On this 2 hour taster session step into our world of patchwork and quilting. Learn the basics and the new language and terminology of this rather addictive pastime. Brush up on your sewing skills,
Sewing is great if you are feeling a bit stressed or even isolated and in need of some normality in life or maybe you just enjoy making things. Patchwork is a totally sociable enjoyable hobby meeting like-minded people who love to sew and create.
On this 2 hour class you will learn :
- Basic sewing skills
- The terminology and the mystery that surrounds patchwork
- Learn how to join seams together using a perfect ¼” seam
- How to press correctly
- How to measure and cut accurate pieces
- Make precise blocks
Find out why we are obsessed with buying a piece of fabric then cutting it into smaller shapes and re-stitching it back together.
Have fun in creating something totally unique.
All equipment is provided for you to use in the studio.
The workshop is from 10am - 12pm
You will need a sewing machine, but if you don't have your own please advise when booking and use one of our Brother machines.
PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD IN THE STUDIO IN MYTHOLMROYD WITH REDUCED NUMBERS
