Free Motion Stitching Class

Master the art of Free motion stitching and create this lovely piece called Bird in my Garden, that you can make into a cushion or wall hanging. On the day you will learn how to use your machine as a drawing tool.  Learn how to control your machine to get perfectly even stitches every time. All materials are included in this class with the exception of Black & White thread.

The class is 10am - 4pm.

On the day you will learn:

• How to drop your feed dogs
• How to attach your darning foot or open-toe foot
• Suitable thread to use
•  How to set up your machine to get best results
• Advice about needles 
• Stabilizers
• How to guide your machine to get perfect results

Having a sewing machine with the facility to drop the feed dog and a darning foot is essential. Alternatively, if you don't have a sewing machine,  we have Brother machines are available in the studio; please ask when booking.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served throughout the day, you may want to bring a packed lunch.
