Designed and created by our resident tutor Susan, this amazing quilt is made on point with a fantastic lone star medallion as the centre focus. Each block has been thoughtfully designed to add to your patchworking skills and techniques building month by month on this  monthly quilting journey.  

The Block of the month is a 15 month project with each block featuring twice in the quilt and you can use your creative license to play around with the second block to enhance your design. Along with a step by step demonstration, we offer full pdf of instructions to support you during this project.

The quilt's finished size will measure approx. 78” x 100” including borders

On this Journey you will learn

• How to set up and use a fabric key
• Foundation paper piecing
• Machine stitched piecing
• Hand turned applique
• Use a template to get a perfect Lone Star medallion
• Working with bias cut fabric making inset triangles
• How to add borders/frames & cornerstones
• How to adapt the blocks to fit perfectly
• Make 6 different blocks 
• Add sashing
• Make ribbon borders
• Make a mitred corner

Many of the blocks are stand alone blocks especially the main lone star centre, so you can have lots of fun transferring these blocks into new projects.

The class is offered as a face to face workshop in the studio or if you prefer to stay home join us vis zoom.
