Galactic Quilt Masterclass – The Art of Random Cutting

Step into a world of creative freedom with our Galactic Quilt Masterclass, designed for experienced quilters who love to break the rules! This innovative workshop explores random cutting and free-form piecing to create a bold, dynamic quilt with a celestial twist. In this advanced class, you’ll discover:

• Random cutting techniques for unique, one-of-a-kind block layouts
• Improv piecing to create movement and a cosmic effect in your quilt
• Blending and layering fabrics to achieve depth
• Applique - improving your skills
• 6mm Binding - make & use binding to add depth
• Finishing techniques to bring your modern masterpiece together

This is an contemporary experimental, easy flow workshop where accuracy takes a back seat to creativity! If you love stepping outside traditional quilting boundaries, this is the perfect class for you.

Are you ready to embark on a creative adventure?   The Galactic quilt is a bold design that unfolds over six months.  Guiding you step by step to create a stunning masterpiece. 

The tutor Susan will demonstrate each step of the way.  Included are full written and pictorial instruction for reference or print out and bring along on the day to write your own notes. These instructions will be emailed to you seven days before the class once payment is received.

The finished quilt will measure 23" x 32"

 The cost is £45 every month and is due before each class.  The following dates will be sent out to you after booking.  Any templates required will be available on the day a requirement list will be emailed to you if you prefer to choose your fabrics in advance.  Fabrics are not included but we can help you with your selection.

 All skill levels welcome.  

This class is from 9am - 1pm   

Suitable for confident beginners or experienced quilters alike!

 There will be a new project to follow to continue on your sewing journey.
