Have you been intrigued by the world of machine embroidery? But not quite ready to make that leap to purchase your machine. Come along and join us to make this flower garden quilt and try before you buy, or you may have purchased one of these wonderful machines and need some help getting started.
We have specialized Brother embroidery machines available for you to to use in the studio; Join us in this monthly workshop and learn more about your specialist embroidery machine; this is a fantastic opportunity to learn about all the features and capabilities of your machine, along with tips on stabilizers, threads and needles etc.
This flower garden project will take four months to complete learning new techniques.
Made up 9 blocks in total featuring different embroidered flowers, all are the tutor's own design. The tutor will show how to download the patterns to the machine.
On this four monthly project you will learn
- Machine embroidery - how to use you machine
- How to add the design from your computer to the machine
- How to frame your fabric
- Nine different flower blocks
- Snowball corners in the hoop
- Stitch & flip in the hoop sashing
- Echo stitching
- How to line up your work to achieve continuous quilting
- Quilting the row of pinwheel borders on the machine
- Make a patchwork piecing pinwheel sashing.
- Adding backing to the block in the hoop
- Use the Quilt As You Go method to join together.
Classes are held in the studio with a dedicated individual workspace . The tutor will demonstrate each time with a step by step approach. You can choose to sew along with the tutor or stitch at your leisure.

This class is from 10am - 3pm
Suitable for beginners or intermediate students
This Flower garden Quilt project will last for four months and must be paid monthly one month in advance . There will be a new project to follow to continue on your embroidery journey.

You will need
A specialist embroidery machine such as Brother, Bernina, Pfaff, Husqavarna
A Frame at least 8" x 8* (200 x 200)
