Longarm Quilting Service

As part of our one stop shop for quilters we also offer a longarm quilting service, you can either send your patchwork top in by post and we will call you to discuss your requirements or alternatively make an appointment to visit us here in the lovely town of Hebden Bridge. We will quilt your patchwork top in a design and thread colour of your choice offering our knowledge and expertise if required to maximise and compliment the finished quilt. Every quilt tells a story we would love to hear yours.

Using an APQS Millennium machine complete with the Intelliquilter computerised system for precision accurate stitching, Patterns can be adjusted and resized to fit your blocks perfectly. The Quilt Cabin longarm quilting service can transform your patchwork top into a fabulous finished quilt.

Pantograph
This is a simple edge to edge design that will cover your quilt in one overall pattern. Pantographs can be spaced as rows across the piece or more integrated to lose that striped effect.

Custom Quilting
We offer custom quilting with specific block designs and separate borders patterns, usually used where pantographs are not suitable or required. The options are endless with a wide range of co-ordinating block and border designs we are would be happy to help with those selections.

We have an extensive range of patterns and you are welcome to sit and browse through our pattern library, we also have access to many pattern designers, so if you have a specific theme or custom quilting idea, we are happy to search the industry and advise the patterns that would enhance your design.

Basting
A basting service is available for hand quilters, we understand that basting a large quilt at home can sometimes be tricky. Let us take the strain and baste this for you so you can enjoy hand quilting. For this service we use large easily removed stitches.

Binding
We are happy to complete your quilt by adding binding. If you wish to use this service we can either stitch the binding to the front of the quilt for you to finish at home or we can complete and hand sew this for you. If binding is required please supply 2 1/2" width and 12" longer thatn the measurement around the quilt. For example 2 x length + 2 x width + 12" to allow for corners and joining.

Threads
King Tut and Superior So Fine threads are used and included in the price. A wide selection of colours are available to match your quilt. Solids or varigated threads can be used or even a combination of colours.
